What made us start BubbaDesk?

“Like many mothers, the topic of childcare wasn't something that occupied my thoughts during pregnancy or even after welcoming my first baby, Charles. It was a challenge I thought I'd tackle further down the road, with my primary focus on the pivotal stages of pregnancy, birth and the newborn bubble.
While I had considered a few daycare options, I found myself gravitating towards the idea of a nanny. The thought of leaving my baby all day at traditional daycare went against all maternal instincts. However, nanny costs can soar, sometimes exceeding $320 a day - of which there is no rebate or tax deduction available.
Entrusting my child to a traditional daycare triggered a wave of concern, amplified by postnatal anxiety, all within a backdrop of a world embracing the work-from-home and hybrid work models.
In response to this, I decided to build a solution rather than compromise. The concept of being close while my child received care from trusted professionals, having the flexibility to drop in for essential moments like breastfeeding and cuddles, all while maintaining productivity, felt like a no-brainer. And BubbaDesk was born!
I understand that there will come a time for a preschool environment, but the comfort lies in the gradual transition to independence through trusted care and my proximity at BubbaDesk. For now, I feel completely at ease knowing I can be part of my children’s days, without compromising my productivity.
The demand for BubbaDesk has been huge, and we plan to launch Australia wide!"
