The first three years are unlike any other. Closeness isn't a luxury — it's biology.

In the first 1,000 days, a child’s brain grows to 90% of its adult size – and that growth is relational. Babies learn to trust, regulate and explore the world through attuned interactions with their primary caregiver. When a parent is nearby, cortisol levels are lower, settling is easier and the child feels safe enough to play and discover.

Traditional childcare asks parents to hand their baby over and leave at the exact stage where proximity matters most. BubbaDesk was built around a different belief.

Open-plan design, by intention.

The childcare space has no hidden areas, enclosed corners or rooms out of sight. Everything is visible. Nothing is hidden. Parents and nannies can see the full space at all times.

Nappy changes happen in full view — in the main space, not behind a closed door. This is a deliberate design choice that reflects our commitment to full transparency.

Sleep room cameras, visible to you.

Sleep rooms are monitored with cameras, and the live feed is displayed on a monitor in the coworking space. You can check in on your sleeping baby without leaving your desk.

You're on-site. Always.

Parents remain at BubbaDesk throughout the day. This isn't just a policy — it's an additional layer of oversight that no traditional daycare can offer.

Our Nannies — Who They Are:

The people who care for your child at BubbaDesk are not entry-level workers. They are experienced, mature, thoroughly vetted nannies who have chosen to work with the youngest children — and who do it exceptionally well.

All-female team

Our team is entirely female. Most are mothers themselves — which means they understand, from personal experience, exactly what you and your baby are going through.

Minimum 24 years old

We do not hire anyone under 24. We select specifically for maturity, warmth, and calm — the qualities that matter most when caring for babies and toddlers.

4+ years experience with 0–3s

Every nanny has a minimum of four years' hands-on experience working specifically with infants and toddlers. This is the age group that requires the most skill and attunement — and our team has it.

Thoroughly vetted before hire

Every nanny completes a four-stage hiring process: CV screening, three-stage interview (including a final interview with our Founder), independent reference checks, and a trial day in a live BubbaDesk setting before any offer is made.

Fully checked and certified

All nannies hold current Working With Children Checks. All are First Aid and CPR certified. Most hold anaphylaxis management certification. These are requirements — not optional extras.

1:4 care ratio — max 16 children

We operate at a maximum 1:4 child-to-nanny ratio with no more than 16 children per day across the whole space. This isn't a large group setting — it's an intimate, calm environment where your child is genuinely known, seen and responded to as an individual.
