Traditional childcare asks parents to hand their baby over and leave at the exact stage where proximity matters most. BubbaDesk was built around a different belief.
The first three years are the most critical window of neurological development, which is why BubbaDesk is designed exclusively for 0–3 year olds.
When a parent is nearby, a child's cortisol levels are measurably lower. Calm babies settle faster, sleep better and engage more readily.
Children who develop secure bonds in the first 3 years show greater emotional resilience and confidence throughout life. Closeness is an investment, not indulgence.
At BubbaDesk, you don’t drop off and drive away. You work just steps from your child — close enough to pop in for a feed, a cuddle, or simply to hear their voice. For you, that means working with a clear head rather than a background hum of worry. For your baby, it means the transition to care is gentler, faster, and built on a foundation of trust.

The childcare space has no hidden areas, enclosed corners or rooms out of sight. Everything is visible. Nothing is hidden. Parents and nannies can see the full space at all times.
Nappy changes happen in full view — in the main space, not behind a closed door. This is a deliberate design choice that reflects our commitment to full transparency.
Sleep rooms are monitored with cameras, and the live feed is displayed on a monitor in the coworking space. You can check in on your sleeping baby without leaving your desk.
Parents remain at BubbaDesk throughout the day. This isn't just a policy — it's an additional layer of oversight that no traditional daycare can offer.
The people who care for your child at BubbaDesk are not entry-level workers. They are experienced, mature, thoroughly vetted nannies who have chosen to work with the youngest children — and who do it exceptionally well.
Our team is entirely female. Most are mothers themselves — which means they understand, from personal experience, exactly what you and your baby are going through.
We do not hire anyone under 24. We select specifically for maturity, warmth, and calm — the qualities that matter most when caring for babies and toddlers.
Every nanny has a minimum of four years' hands-on experience working specifically with infants and toddlers. This is the age group that requires the most skill and attunement — and our team has it.
Every nanny completes a four-stage hiring process: CV screening, three-stage interview (including a final interview with our Founder), independent reference checks, and a trial day in a live BubbaDesk setting before any offer is made.
All nannies hold current Working With Children Checks. All are First Aid and CPR certified. Most hold anaphylaxis management certification. These are requirements — not optional extras.
We operate at a maximum 1:4 child-to-nanny ratio with no more than 16 children per day across the whole space. This isn't a large group setting — it's an intimate, calm environment where your child is genuinely known, seen and responded to as an individual.
For babies and toddlers, the most important thing isn’t a curriculum — it’s feeling safe, seen and responded to. Our nannies are attuned to each child individually, noticing every cue, so your baby’s needs always come first. Everything else flows from there.

Your routine, your rules, and it can change daily. Do the feed yourself, hand off the nap, or let the team run the full day. Entirely up to you.
